Wine Label Illustration & Design
This label was created for Wine52, with the aim of capturing the spirit of South Africa’s Western Cape, where the wine was grown and produced.

Rather than illustrating the landscape literally, the design takes on a florally abstract approach. The region’s distinctive fynbos became the central source of inspiration, influencing both the colour palette and the organic, flowing shapes woven throughout the illustration.

To give the piece a tactile depth, original handmade textures were created using traditional methods — layered brushstrokes, ink washes, and organic marks that were later woven into the final composition. These textures bring a sense of craft and authenticity to the work, echoing the artisanal process behind the wine itself.

The result is a piece that feels rooted in place while still being bold, expressive, and contemporary — designed to stand out on the shelf while reflecting the natural beauty of the Cape.
